One of the keys to Franklin's success has been vertical integration. Vertical integration is the absorption of all aspects of a product's manufacture from raw materials to distribution into one company. Having control over our raw material consumption gives us complete quality control and enhances our ability to keep costs at low levels.
How do we maintain our competitive edge in this global marketplace? We invest our profits heavily back into our company. When so much of our product category is moving overseas, we continue to reinvest millions of dollars into our company. Our facilities are world-class. They include our own state-of-the-art metal stamping factory, which manufactures our own exclusive reclining mechanisms. In our dimension processing, we use CNC (computer numerical controlled) technology in our milling and boring operations as well as computerized pattern layout and cutting. At Franklin, we also fabricate all our Reflex premium foam with CNC technology as well.
At Franklin, our goal is to ship a quality product at an outstanding value on time, every time. Our product is delivered on our own fleet of trucks that are all computer integrated and routed using GPS technology. Simply put, our goal at Franklin is continuous improvement. Whatever we are doing today, we can do better tomorrow. This is a tenant by which our company has lived upon for 40 years.
